Today's post i will be talking about tarte cosmetics. For awhile Ive been wanting to try their products and i finally took the plunge and purchase a couple of products from the rainforest of the sea collection. I picked up the water foundation and the color splash cocktail lip duo. I was really excited to try this line because i heard nothing but good reviews on it but at the same time i was scared because what if i didn't like the products i chose and didn't work for me and just wasted my money for something i wouldn't use, the first thing i will be talking about is the water foundation the packaging is beautiful the bottle is glass and love the two tone cap, i felt so boujee!!!
LOL this is my very first high end foundation the shade i picked out is light neutral and it match me perfectly i was scared because i bought it online and i was just winging it on my shade. The formula is very watery so be careful while applying it to your skin,sponge or brush. Its full coverage but you can easily do medium coverage if you use a light hand when starting. I used a light hand when applying because i wanted to see how good the coverage was with just a small amount and then i slowly built it up to full coverage its light weight on the skin doesn't feel heavy at all like other full coverage foundation do.
i have dry spots on my face so i was really concerned the foundation was going to pick them up but it didn't at all so if you have dry spots or combo skin i feel like this foundation will work for you. I expected it to have a pump and not a dropper which i think is hard to use in my opinion but other than that i really enjoy this foundation and i can see myself repurchasing this product again. Now lets talk about the color splash cocktail lip duo.The packaging is a very pretty teal color,this duo contains the shade daiquiri & rum punch they are a deluxe size which means both are mini. Daiquiri is a coral shad and rum punch is a nude both colors are beautiful very spring colors. The formula is very buttery and rich not drying at love which i like because you can reapply and wont look all nasty on the lips. they are long wearing to some extend, looking forward to buying more lipsticks from this collections.
